"Oh Robin, she is so beautiful!"As promised, here is Part II of the Mother's Day Special - Starfire and her beautiful little daughter, Mar'i Grayson!!!
With all new parents, usually the baby decides when to be born, and for Starfire, it was no exception. Despite what the doctors at Gotham General told her, she went into labor a week before the expected date. It was a bitingly cold and snowy February day, and as the roads were so bad near the Graysons' Estate, Dick had to call the rest of the Titans to help, with Raven and Supergirl acting as medical staff while Flash went to the hospital to get a doctor's help. Despite the setbacks from bad weather, the birth was a success. It was the happiest day in Starfire's life, becoming a new mom, and raising her new daughter with the man she loved. On that day, February 17th 2024, Mar'i Grayson was born.
Okay, so I nearly almost cried several times when I was drawing this one, because it's just too adorable. I didn't include the armor on Starfire's arms, because I thought that might be uncomfortable for any baby. I wasn't sure what I wanted to draw for this one, but then I decided that the date Mar'i was born would be appropriate, and very cute. That concludes the event. Happy Mother's Day!!!

Yep, it was that powerful. Though I will definitely be doing another drawing of the Grayson family for Father’s Day. This time of Jacob Grayson, Mar’i’s younger brother, riding on their father’s shoulders.

Her emotions are perfectly conveyed through her eyes. I'm sure Kori wasn't the only one crying that day; probably one of the only times the other Titans saw Dick Grayson crying.

Oh yeah, Dick was definitely crying tears of joy. The birth of a child is always enough to make any parent cry tears of joy. Dick even gave Mar’i her first bath with help from Donna of course. We could explain that Donna had to act as a midwife on Themyscira sometimes, as part of her punishment for running away from home in her youth. Though those first few months were always difficult. I imagine Mar’i getting sick would be a conundrum.

Thank you! I figured that since I usually draw Mar’i portrayed either as a little girl or as a teenager, that it’s about time I draw her portrayed as a baby. Plus it’s just so dang cute!

Let me tell you, though, I The first few months after her birth, Mar’i was using her powers uncontrollably. So much so that Dick frantically called Lois Lane for help, given that she had experience with raising an alien half breed child.

Jonathan Samuel Kent. And yes, Clark is the father. She originally wanted to go with Jor, in honor of Clark’s biological father, but he always felt Earth was his true home than Krypton. So they named their boy after Clark’s human father.
