Description
"Just shut up and kiss me, Roy."Donna Troy and Roy Harper's relationship was not without its ups and downs. At first, when they were still teens, they did not get along at all, given the culture shock Donna was still experiencing. However, this all changed over time, especially when Roy took the mantle of Arsenal and joined the Teen Titans after Terra's betrayal and death. Dick Grayson and Wally West, Roy and Donna's best friends and the first Robin and Kid Flash, initially both had their doubts about letting those two be close together, but during a mission where they were stranded together on a hostile alien planet, they learned more about each other, and bonded closer. Donna was impressed with Roy's swordplay, while she impressed him with her own natural born talent for leadership. After more than 5 years of dating, and inspired by Nightwing and Starfire's own wedding, Roy finally felt the urge to propose, but nearly passed out from excitement when Donna beat him to the punch.
So, for Roy's Greco-Roman style armor, I decided that since Donna's both an Amazon and a daughter of Zeus, that this version of his costume would be given to him as a wedding gift from Diana as a way to welcome him to the family. Plus, it just looks so much cooler than the initial costume I made for him. Anyway, I decided to have Roy and Donna be drawn for this year, since I haven't drawn either of them in a while, plus it would be a nice change of pace from my usual Nightwing and Starfire pics. With that being said, Happy Valentine's Day, everybody!!

I figured this romance between Roy and Donna would play out a lot better than if he had an affair with Cheshire, and I wasn’t a big fan of Donna’s relationship with Terry Long either.
Though I didn’t know Roy had more dates than Ollie did! That’s astonishing.

My only "issue" I have is making Donna a daughter of Zeus, simply b/c that guy already has enough offspring.
But that aside, you did a fantastic job! Roy's Greek armor is an especially nice touch.

Wonder Girl: Amazon OriginDonna Troy woke up from a nightmare, giving a whispered gasp as her eyelids flung open.
She quickly glanced to the left to see Roy Harper still sleeping, still as naked as she was. As her breath calmed down, Donna pushed aside the covers and sat up on the edge of the hotel bed, looking up at the half-moon shining through the window. She heard a rustling behind her, followed by Roy knee-walking on the bed behind her. The Kryptonian placed one hand on the Amazon’s right shoulder, and the other on her left arm.
“Did you have a bad dream?”
“It’s nothing, Roy.”
“Donna, we’re officially partners now. There can’t be any ‘nothing’ between us.”
Donna sighed and put her right hand over Roy’s left. “Just remembering the scariest day of my life. The day I learned who, and what, my mother is. And what I am.”

Well, it fits with that lore of the archetypal Greek hero. Since Diana got that makeover, it was only natural in my opinion that Donna should be able to have such an honor as well. Still, thanks! That armor Roy has is a wedding gift from Queen Hippolyta, (Queen Hippolyta II, to be honest. The first Queen Hippolyta died a few decades before the Trojan War.)

Oh, during her childhood, definitely. Though there were times when she demanded Vic and Scarlet do the same, much to their initial shock. Needless to say, she takes after both her parents. Thoughts on Donna proposing to Roy?

It's definitely on par with what Donna would do. She was raised as a Amazon, so boldness like that just comes natural to her.

Then let me tell you: on their wedding night, there was a lot of heavy drinking. As they originally hailed from the Steppes of Scythia, and thus had contact with the Ancient Greeks, the Amazons inherited a lot of their customs. The heavy drinking bouts they picked up from the Macedonians. As such, Roy was pretty shocked when, at a separate celebration on Themyscira, the Amazons were drinking heavily. Although, this was in part because the Amazons will always have their wine diluted with water.

Very beautiful 💓. These two do have a history in the comics, albeit rather sad (Roy had a crush on Donna for a long time and they got together a few times, but they kept breaking up.) It's good to see them get a happy ending and just in time for V-Day 😊. Hope to see more art like this soon. Maybe even an actual fanfiction or something. Now THAT would be so cool. To actually read and/or see the action.

I’m very glad to hear that! I pair these two up because of their history, with Roy even stating in an issue of The New Teen Titans that he was in love with her. Besides, that romance with Terry Long was just creepy. This way, there would be no skeletons in the closet, plus my take on Donna ends up being Lian’s mom. As for fanfiction, well...I do have something like that written up.
