I don't know enough Japanese mythology. My best guess would be Amateratsu, but... maybe not. Maybe the first Goddess? I do remember reading she died and chased her husband out of the Shinto version of Hades...
Guess I'll wait and see.

Why wait? She's Izanami-no-Mikoto, a goddess slighted by her own husband and out for revenge.

Ah yes, I remember her. The first goddess. No wonder she wants to kill her husband.
If I use the characters I'm planning to, I don't think she'd get along with them. They are both clones of a psychopath, but one actually turned out with a conscience and has made great strides to erase his "father's influence" on him. He's a noble soul and would likely distrust her. The other is just evil and enjoys chaos too much; he'd piss her off just for fun. And both are clever enough to note what exactly she says... and what she doesn't say.
