No I've played the game four times and know the storyline inside and out, but let's face it. Tifa and Aerith's little rivalry ended when she died. Not to mention Tifa BEGGING for Cloud in AC

Just because she had her as a love rival doesn't mean she would be happy about her friend dying. Your portrayal of her character and what she would have felt (even shown) really downgrades her.
The quote was not for Cloud to forget Aerith, but for him to stop lingering in the past. They all remember her, but unlike him, they are trying to build up a future to live.
Just like Cloud she can feel her presence, even though not as strong as him, like that scene on the Shera were she says "You were there for him all along, weren't you? Thank you. "
They were friends, and their rivalry was mild and nothing like the backstabbing you see in movies etc.

I'm betting she was happy too. And she was so selfish throughout AC, it's no wonder Cloud hasn't formed a romantic relationship with her, she's like his Mum. TBH, I'm glad, smart people know Aerith is the better woman (Even the Dirge of Cerberus manual knows.
