~We are the crystal gems!~I've gotten really into Steven Universe lately, and I'm in love with Lapis Lazuli's design so much aaaah
This was meant to be just a warmup sketch to get back into the swing of things and well... This happened lol

Oh wooow this is probably the most beautiful Lapis Lazuli pick I've seen, so pretty! I love the stars, the colours, the lighting, EVERYTHING! Her eyes are amazing. I love all the designs in that show, they're all so amazing. I really liked Lapis Lazuli's white eyes, I didn't even realise they were an effect of her damaged gem when I first saw her, then I was like 'wait, why does she have pupils now!'.

Hopefully I'll be able to upload some more Steven Universe fanart soon after Spring semester is over for me lol (I'm thinking a Connie, Steven, and Lion one next :3). I thought it was really awesome how her eyes were basically like "mirrors", presumably from her being trapped in one for so long, and I thought it would have been a great opportunity to try reflecting something nifty in them~

Oh yeah, I never thought about them being like mirrors but they are, that's cool. Well it turned out great! I love stars, they're so pretty to draw.

I've actually been on deviantart for about eight or nine years now lol I just felt like a fresh start was in order! I've been on hiatus for a few years only drawing here and there, but I've become really motivated to start dedicated more time to it. But thank you!
