I love these >w< As much as I love Chesnaught, I would have been over the moon if it had turned out like these designs.

While I do like chesnaught, I actually feel like your evolution line is more sensible than what Nintendo wound up doing.

yeah saw that...disappointing, guess it really is just another evo in some form, and theyre only adding them to old pokemon :/
figured this was a KALOS thing, so they deserved to be the origin of it, guess not

I wonder what type the little guy will evolve into a lot of people are saying he may be a dark type but after the demo and hearing his dex entry he might be rock or ground
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
roblee96 In reply to vindurza [2013-08-23 02:33:03 +0000 UTC]
well the only way to know for sure is to wait until gamefreak reveals it but im hoping its dark just so it would be balanced i dont really see how it could be rock since there are no mammal like rock pokemon but it could possibly be ground

y mention it's shell aka the green part of it's body being very thick, plus it learns roll out quite early in game their pokedex entries sometimes tell on their evos although it is confirmed that the first forms are just base types fire water grass, I really want to see the crazy rock paper scissor thing were we have a fire physic, water fighting, and grass drak. but after doign research on them it's looking like a grass rock, water flying, and the game freak specialty >.<

roblee96 In reply to vindurza [2013-08-23 14:11:34 +0000 UTC]
i mean i dont really see anything in the dex entry that hints at it being a rock type just because it says it has a hard shell doesnt really mean rock at all and there are a ton of pokemon that learn roll out early in the game that arent rock for example tepig ,lickitung, snorlax, cyndaquil, dunsparce bidoof, even solosis so i dont really see how that backs up it possibly being rock and fennekin learns psychic moves so theres really know way it could be fighting and you could argue that it used glow punch but there is a high chance that glow punch isnt a fighting move considering fennekin is able to use it but doesnt have fist. lastly water fighting really just sounds crazy to me no offense what information do you have that backs that up, just so you know the white stuff on its chest has actually been comfirmed to be bubbles and not a cloud

vindurza In reply to roblee96 [2013-08-23 15:59:52 +0000 UTC]
the bad thing about the glow punch move fennekin used simply comes from the fact it dose not have hands, you need to rember tepig and torchic lacked arms to before evolving. the move looks exactly like a fighting type ability do to the amount of damage it did to litleo a normal type, however the odds seem to shift in favor of it being physic after the english demo shown the fox using psybeam an almost exclusive physic pokemon move with a few bug types here and there also knowing it. but with chespin the hard shell being mentioned, it using rollout and the word pin playing a heavy part in it's name screams a rock or ground type that could turn into a spiky ball by curling up because chespin slightly resembles a porcupine, now as for froakie the thign with it is the pokemon heavily resembles the myth of the rain frogs, frogs said to live with in clouds this is slightly debunked by by it's dex saying they are bubble BUT bubbles do float, froakie is the only one who dose not seem to lean in either directions because it lacks any telling moves at this moment

again you just assume glow punch is a fighting move because it has punch in it when again there are several punching moves that arent fighting for example sucker punch and dizzy punch, mega, punch so again im pretty sure its not a fighting type move. if you ask me i would say it could even be psychic or fairy before its fighting. also you argue that it did alot of damage to litleo when if you actually look at it litleo was a level 5 and fennekin was a level 14 so its expected to do alot of damage. And with chespin just because it has a hard shell doesnt "scream rock" at all the hard shell is a reference to a chestnut which is hard because its based of a chestnut which is part of a plant and not a rock. and again there are more none rock type pokemon that learn roll out than actual rock pokemon look it up if you need to. And what do pins have to do with rock and the fact that it could turn into a spiky ball like ive never seen a spiky rock before hahaha. And for froakie i still dont see how it could possibly be flying even with the "rain frog" theory.

roblee96 In reply to Cheeyev [2013-08-20 17:26:47 +0000 UTC]
im thinking the second should end in pin because thorncupin ends in pin and chespin ends in pin to keep the pattern goin

that's all I can really think of. Spikes, Needles, grass and plants (chesnut), we need to consider that for the name and add "pin' at the end.
