Yeah, I'm always intrigued by artist's work spaces.

Tell you a big secret..........the large piccies are just a 'block' and unframed. Ikea do table tops of varying sizes. They come with laminated sides and top and the underside is mdf with pre-drilled holes for the legs. I fit 'hidden' mirror plates for hanging and fill the holes with polyfilla,.... gesso the mdf and do the painting. The laminate is then sanded and painted with emulsion. Because of the 'honeycomb' construction there is no warping of the mdf which is pretty thin anyway. These 'table tops' are relatively in-expensive.
Apologies to non-european viewers who do not have the throw away furniture culture of the Swedish comany IKEA..........

I have painted larger but this size is just manageable for a few months work before I get bored. Most of the work is around 600 x 450 mm.
