The Death Egg Prototype Egg-Scape Pod, is a simple but handy invention by Doctor Julian Ivonson (Ivo) Alexander Robotnik (Eggman) (see the Death Egg Prototype of mine, for more info of the name I have given, to avoid any confusion let alone before you read this) for the Death Egg Prototype, and later for other installations of the Robotnik Empire. Created around the same time as the Death Egg Prototype, the Egg-Scape Pod was mass produced on the cheap for the Death Egg Prototype, since Robotnik wanted himself and other Badniks to escape unharmed and ready for the future. Even though the Death Egg Prototype Egg-Scape Pod was used for other installations, it kept its name since Robotnik himself was too lazy to change the name, and thus decided to nickname them as Egg-Scape Pods himself. One Egg-Scape Pod was made for testing, and one Crabmeat Badnik volunteered to be the Egg-Scape Pod crew, so Robotnik had the Egg-Scape Pod ready to be launched from a cannon from a secret base on Mobius. The Egg-Scape Pod was launched quickly and it flew very far, crashing into a large mountain of a famous Mobian Mountain Range and leaving a large crater, but the Egg-Scape Pod was completely unscratched and in one piece, with the Crabmeat emerging completely unharmed and giving the all clear sign for Robotnik to pick him up. Then Doctor Robotnik ordered three Egg-Scape Pods to be launched, as well as demanding that four Badniks to be placed in each Egg-Scape Pod, to make sure that there were no defective Egg-Scape Pods at all. It didn't take long until twelve new Badniks showed up, and volunteered to be the Model Badniks for the three Egg-Scape Pods, and Doctor Robotnik approved of this. Shortly after, the three Egg-Scape Pods were launched from the Death Egg Prototype, and all three landed around a woodland area near a Mobian Hamlet. Once again, the test was a success with all three Egg-Scape Pods being salvaged without a scratch, and all Twelve New Badniks coming out unharmed. After the two successful tests, Robotnik demanded mass production of the Egg-Scape Pod on a large scale, since his robot and Badnik armies were growing fast. It took only a matter of months, before hundreds of thousands of Egg-Scape Pods were manufactured and fresh of the production line, just in time for the completion of the Death Egg Prototype. 50,000 Egg-Scape Pods were created for the Death Egg Prototype, but despite the maximum crew being 1,000 Badniks as well as Robotnik himself, as well as the minimum of 100 Badniks as well as Robotnik himself, there was more than enough Egg-Scape Pods just in case of situations of malfunction, theft, destruction, and sabotage, that would affect most of the Egg-Scape Pods. A week before the encounter with 'The Astronauts' (space human pirate organisation, again see the Death Egg Prototype of mine, for more information), Robotnik wanted to test 50 of the Egg-Scape Pods installed on the Death Egg Prototype so he selected 50 Badniks of the 100 Badniks at random (this was the minimum crew at the time), and so the 10 Splats the Rabbits, 10 Moto Bugs, 10 Burro Bots, 10 Caterkillers, and 10 Buzz Bombers, got into their Egg-Scape Pod (from the small top hatch) of choice to await further orders. Upon the emergency alarm of the Death Egg Prototype, which was activated as a drill exercise, each Badnik pressed the emergency release button of the control panel inside each Egg-Scape Pod, and then the fifty Egg-Scape Pods jetted off into space successfully. The fifty Egg-Scape Pods crashed landed on pieces of broken planet from a neighbouring planetary system (which was nearby the planetary system that had Mobius, but the neighbouring planetary system was not the Solar System with Earth), where they were completely unharmed and the Badniks got out (from the wide bottom hatch) unscathed, and were soon recovered with the pods by Robotnik's Death Egg Prototype. The single viewport, allowed the Badniks to see where they were steering the Egg-Scape Pods, and the controls were so smooth that the Egg-Scape Pods were favoured immediately by the Badniks. Due to the success of the Egg-Scape Pod, Robotnik ordered the pod to be mass produced to the point of overkill. A week before the events of South Island (Sonic 1 1991), ten million Egg-Scape Pods had been manufactured (although the number today is well into the trillions), with the same 50,000 Egg-Scape Pods still on board the Death Egg Prototype, whilst the manufactured pods went to all corners of the Robotnik Empire. One Caterkiller Badnik asked "Why do you have Egg-Scape Pods? You don't care about us, as well as think we are scrap metal, I don't understand this.", to which Robotnik answered with "So that my wonderful robots will build the factories which might get destroyed, if I don't have my robot workforce then who will build my factories? I cannot do all of this on my own, that is why I need my robots alive and well, so that my factories will be rebuilt for the future.", before the Caterkiller Badnik went off to complete its patrol duties for the rest of the day. Throughout the years (of the Sonic game timeline), numerous Egg-Scape Pods were used by a lot of Badniks each time a mission against 'Sonic and the Gang' (sorry, couldn't resist a little nod to Kool and the Gang , whilst this is just a slang way to say Sonic and his friends) went sour, and some Egg-Scape Pods were captured by various factions including G.U.N., Miles (Tails) Prower, the Babylons, the Mobian Authorities, the Soleanna Authorities, and by Rouge the Bat (for reasons unknown). Sometimes, there were defectors and rogue robots that used the Egg-Scape Pods to get away from Robotnik, to start their own life in the name of freedom. Despite the Egg-Scape Pods being captured, Robotnik continued to mass produce them to help his Badniks live to fight another day, let alone if Robotnik himself couldn't get to his Egg Mobile let alone his Egg Pod in time. The Death Egg Prototype in the Opal Sector (where it was last seen, since it was ordered there by Robotnik after South Island (Sonic 1), and again, see the Death Egg Prototype of mine for more info), still had its 50,000 Egg-Scape Pods still in tact and ready to be used, and the recent known use of the Egg-Scape Pod (but certainly not the last known use) was on the Lost Hex (of Sonic Lost World), where a group of Badniks that had somehow ejected their animals (due to malfunctions), found a group of Egg-Scape Pods that the Zoni had no idea of, and escaped to locations now unknown.

So, what do you think?

I had mentioned the Death Egg Prototype having escape pods in my last drawing, so I had to draw it to show you all .

Also, I know it says Death Egg Prototype Egg-Scape Pod whilst I talk about it being used for other installations, but as mentioned, Robotnik got too lazy to just change the name of his creation, so he had to give it a nickname, like Sonic and his friends gave Robotnik the nickname Eggman (although I do know the history of Robotnik/Eggman naming of SEGA's history).

Plus, the twelve Badniks took me a while to draw, but I eventually finished them off, and their purpose is to show that the Egg-Scape Pod contains four Badniks, whilst being capable of holding four humans inside.

The Eye-Binaut Badnik is an Orbinaut with revolving four eyes that act like Buyoon's body, whilst the Spike Head Bandnik is like Spiker's Relative, and the Head Shooter Badnik is just a random homage to Ice Ball.

The Bubble Worm was inspired by the Fire Worm and Caterkiller Junior.

The Tank Roll was inspired by the Spiked Buggy of the Death Ball Boss of Sonic and Knuckles.

It was simple and easy to draw, besides, it may lack some detail, but it is a simple escape pod after all .

Let me know in the comments .

Thank You .
