Ah, the nostalgic movie I vaguely remembered stuff from until I recently re-watched it since like, months ago. One of my favorite Youtube-exclusive unofficial movies is this one, because of all the enthusiasm and the partially nonsensical plot, kinda feels surreal since this was a kid's imagination coming to life back in the day. Of course there are all those types of dinosaurs, and in fact there are many of the ones that we knew about since we were kids (Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Allosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Parasaurolophus and Deinonychus to name part of the latter), and then there's certain seldom-seen species included such as Saltasaurus, Diplocaulus, and Carcharodontosaurus.
Kind of a mixed bag to me in my opinion, but keep in mind that this movie was made by HoopsAndDinoMan when he was a kid, but he was a teenager and gained more intelligence (I gained more intelligence quickly as a teen as well) when he did the sequel to this movie that is even better in my opinion, there's actually something going on in the sequel and the plot feels a little more like an actual film. But I actually like both films and I guess my opinion on both has partially been unchanged since I first watched both films. I love the randomness the first movie has, and I love the plot and action of the second movie.
This is probably the best piece of fanart I've ever seen for A Dinosaur Story in my opinion.

Ah, yes. It's also among the category of the movies that are "so bad, it's good", even if including unofficial stuff like this one. It's got flaws, but it's just seemingly just likeable to me, like I'm currently kind of attached to this as of now because I will soon do my own fanart for this one movie. I nowadays just mostly watch from the unofficial full movie upload by a fan of HoopsandDinoman, and he put it altogether excellently to say the least. Multiple certain things didn't make sense, especially the main villain's backstory on why he hates the main character so much, and how the green Ultrasaurus' farts caused a fire all of a sudden (oh wait, it's gas! But I don't really know if fart gas really makes fires).
At least it's much better for me to watch and enjoy than much worse dinosaur-related stuff, such as the following:
Tarbosaurus: The Mightiest Ever: A meh Korean dinosaur documentary that mainly copies Dinosaur Planet, but also has some scenes copied from Walking With Dinosaurs and Jurassic Fight Club. It later got a movie called Speckles the Tarbosaurus AKA Dino King, which is basically a Dinosaurian Lion King. At least it's got some educational stuff here and there, but most of the facts are fake, and the English narrator with a seemingly questionable voice just seems to read the script but also says some unscripted things that just show him that he knows nothing about dinosaurs, like when he says "The Korean Peninsula 80 million years ago was the last paradise of the dinosaurs prior to extinction." Isn't Hell Creek back in 66 million years ago the last paradise of the dinosaurs we usually think about prior to extinction? He also titles Tarbosaurus as the last king of the dinosaurs, even though he just forgot the name of the actual dinosaur that has this title in the first place.
Valley of the T. rex: Least Educational Dinosaur Documentary EVER. It's just Jack Horner showing off his nonsense "T. rex is a scavenger and had no predatory traits" theory he liked to jack off to back in the day. And the CGI T. rex based on his thoughts looks like an overweight zombie as opposed to a normal animal. The animation looks EXTREMELY similar in style to When Dinosaurs Roamed America, and they even revisited the same formation that the T. rex from WDRA lived in just so that they can "release" the obese zombie rex here! And that T. rex's sound choices are just awful, and my least favorite out of the sound choices of this documentary's dinosaurs, it just growls like a bear, snarls like a big cat when eating, and almost nothing else.
Dinotopia: Quest for the Ruby Sunstone: A typical example of a bad animated dinosaur film for the direct-to-video department other than those kiddy Land Before Time Sequels, especially in terms of the story and continuation and character development, and it barely pays any true attention to the book series, heck, even the Hallmark miniseries I used to watch as a kid on DVD seemed better at paying attention. I'll admit a few of the character designs actually seem to be original, like 26 the Chasmosaurus and perhaps that annoying baby Dilophosaurus (My least favorite character in this film), but the other dinosaur designs are just not quite comfortable enough for the most part, like many background dinos look incredibly generic, the T. rex looks like Rex from We're Back!, but in his teen years (judging by the proportions and the skinny build) and is recolored to look like the book series' T. rexes, and these two henchmen dinos look a bit like characters that could appear in The Terrible Thunderlizards.
Dino Time/Back To The Jurassic: A cheesy film with a nonsense story, unlikeable protagonist, and most-of-the-time weird dinosaur designs, and even copies certain sound effects from the American documentary miniseries Dinosaur Planet (It's not the first piece of Korean Dinosaur media that rips these pretty good sound effects). But to be honest, the sounds of the dinosaurs from Dinosaur Planet actually blend in surprisingly extremely well when used for a cartoon, and this bad cartoon is no exception, but come on! I'd use the sound effects in a much more wise way than that film does, to be honest, and I would even do my own sounds based on that documentary's sounds. For example, I like the choice of those Distorted elephant roars used for this miniseries' Daspletosaurus that became the most iconic sounds of this documentary for the T. rex since they already fit any sort of big meat-eating dinosaur, but these other sounds used for her don't quite fit with the animal to me. And the main antagonists are Sarcosuchus twins that can apparently survive in a volcanic area for the rest of their lives, and they look more like mutated crocodiles than the robust, oversized gharial it actually was. Come on guys! That supercroc already looks awesome as it is, but you just decided to go with these designs!?
Any Dinosaur film by The Asylum: Out of all of them, I've only actually seen Jurassic School, and then I watched it, and after it's over I felt like this: "what a cheesy film, and how was he able to get that stuff for dinosaur cloning? And how come he's laughing when he's supposed to feel sorry for the dinosaur?". But the only admirable thing is the use of animatronics for the dinosaur at certain points and that the main dinosaur character is a seldom-seen dinosaur species; a Hypsilophodon. I knew The Asylum usually cashes in on popular media, and when it comes to dinosaurs, they'll sometimes cash in on upcoming dinosaur films as well, like the recent Triassic World, a JWFK knock-off I never watched and probably will never be able to watch myself.
And finally...
Dinosaur Adventure... by none other than Dingo Pictures. Oh my goodness, I love how BAD it is. These are the worst dinosaur designs I've ever seen from an animated film, and this low-budget film looks like they literally tried to animate a film by adding the alright-looking backgrounds made by a teenager or young adult who took art class and loved to paint, and then animating their dinosaurs in something like MS Paint, hence their sprite-like outlines. Most of these dinosaurs I can't really tell what they're really supposed to be! Except for the worst-looking Ankylosaurus and Oviraptor I've ever seen, as well as that evil gray dinosaur guy voiced by a woman in which I think is a Monoclonius. The voice acting is pretty bad, and the attention span from reading those scripts really could use some work, and the daddy dinosaur even said "What the Hell is going on here!?", just perfect for little kids... The animation is really bad, and their laughing animations are just their heads having a bit of a bobbing seizure, and the best they ever gotten with the animation (in my opinion) is that green "baby" dinosaur and the volcano eruptions (which are also emitting flaming hot circle tool circles). Heck, HoopsandDinoman's A Dinosaur Story used effects that also look like they're made with MS Paint with a hint of photoshop, due to having gradient tools that MS paint doesn't use, but it looks a little more eye-catching minus the pure blue used for the rain and oceans.
Sorry for going off-topic, I just wanted to state something that I may also include in a journal of mine that will list the top 10 worst dinosaur films I've ever seen.
