Were they hand puppets? There's a new set of plushes & hand puppets out now but I thought they were strictly UK things. I have a few and have a few others on order so I was just wondering.... cuz I'm such a fraggle nerd & all.

they were hand puppets indeed....they were like called fraggles forever or something? they had red, gobo, and boober...and they had a gobo plush...
heeheehee...i have a gobo and a wembly from like, 1982 or something....i had a Kermit and a Rolf too from the Muppet show....i'm a long time Jim Henson fan too XD

That sounds like them. Yes. I'm only making the assumption you're in the States. Are you? I guess I could check. I didn't know those fraggles were being sold here. That's cool if they are. I have the Gobo & Red from that set with the Mokey and then the hand puppet Gobo in transit from the UK.
I've got a rather " insane " amount of Fraggle Rock stuff. Jim Henson is quite godly.

Jim's death was one of the few that really ...uhh... got me thinking ( plus it was quite the surprise ). He's everywhere now so, ya know, he's not really " dead " at all. As they say, " You can not leave the magic ".

Awesome. I was in 7th grade when I first got to see Fraggle Rock so it was pretty much just my thing. 
I was a sophomore in high school I think. It was hard to process. Also it was hard to listen to " The Rainbow Connection " afterwards. That's such a perfect song. I have a copy of his memorial service on DVD. I've only watched it once cuz it sorta felt like I was intruding. Jerry Nelson brings out Gobo and Steve Whitmire brings out Wembley toward the end when they sing that... umm... " Just One Person " song.
