Description 5567 vertices, 4911 faces, 10114 triangles. Created within 3 nights, aprox 1 and a half days.

Here it is. Finally finished Zim. I was trying to add buttons to allow rotation of the model manually, but I still can't figure out how to make buttons move quickly through frames. So it was very choppy, and more frustrating than it just rotating on it's own. You can freeze the animation by right clicking on it and clicking stop, and resume it's rotation by right clicking on the image and clicking play.

Also as added bonus, I've added the flash models obj file, textures, and the original model I worked on and created to be downloaded.
But at a cost of 100 points. I need the points to raise enough to extend my group super status.

This model will eventually be rigged into L4D2 once I create zim a mech suit so I don't end up awkwardly stretching limbs to fit the survivors.

Looks awesome! That Globs of Doom version was horrible! His tongue was out, and his mouth was really weird 0.O The DS sprites though were a lot better (if you haven't seen them:Β spritedatabase.net/files/ds/19… )Β

I already rigged him in L4D2 with a mech suit so I just need to test a lot ingame and work out any kinks. Globs of doom model is the reason I completely skipped the idea of giving zim a tongue e.e. It looked too freaky and like he was going to bite it or choke on it anytime.
Wow, those sprites areΒ  pretty good however. I'm guessing the 3d artists got lazy with the 3d design, lol.

The other characters in that game were scary too. I'm really glad I didn't get the Wii version! The DS version is epic win (I love Zim's laser weapons )

Yeah, in the wii they gave him a stupid toilet plunger. I mean it was for comedy but still why a toilet plunger out of all things, sometimes there just has to be room for more serious things >.>

Probably, seeing that Zim had the worst model design than everyone else. Why not make it look more scary and ridiculous by giving him a plunger as a way to show how much they hate him. Zim has lasers hidden in his pak, a plasma pistol, and much more destructive weapons on him, why need a plunger when he could easily rip everyone a new one. Oh well at least the fans show him more love than Nick, well at least some, since half the IZ fandom isn't even about Zim.

Yeah, that piece of black is actually part of his mesh sticking a little out. This is caused when I move his limbs around and can't find the cause of which bone in his armature is deforming his mesh in a weird way. Other than when I twist his waist, he's actually pretty well rigged and can move in easy positions without showing too much problems at all. He rigged beautifully compared to the premade models I started off modding for L4D2.

I cannot, because most likely that black part of his mesh that is sticking out is part of his jumpsuit underneath, or the shaded uv wrapping underneath his shirt. Texturing isn't as simple as it looks. It's actually really hard, and the most troublesome part of creating models, along with trying to look for a proper material for the models texture.Β  :U
When unwrapping, a model doesn't simply unwrap as a perfect imagine you can color. It unwraps in a unpredictable way where you have to guess a lot sometimes, and does require a lot of re-arranging to understand. Texturing on mesh itselfΒ  with just painting on it without a texture can also lead to ugly botches and the inability to pick proper colors.

It was hard learning how to add texture to the model. I think I was quite lucky with making the metal look like metal there xD
My main problem is wanting to use a environmental map to make his eyes very reflectant. But I'm used to just using commands in QC files and the premade environ maps in videogames to add that very reflective light. :U
