Description Okay, I finally made the base colours for the MK V, This one sports a newer Texture map than the ODST model. Yes I know the model needs work on the smoothing groups on the back, I'll get to that soon xP

soooo, dont mean to bother you but, you want in on a Reach promotional project? this model you present here was suggested by JefRchrds, to be a big part, itll be a collab, you in? should be EPIC.

Sure, but the textures need to be finished though, I still need to make the flat colours for the model

not a problem, we just need a delicious render, jeff's more than good with textures. shouldnt be a problem to get those nailed with detail. is the geometry finalized?

Pretty much, The model itself is final. Though I still need to fix some smoothing groups and weld a few things, shouldn't be too hard for him though. I am also trying to model an interior for the helmet though

alright cool. alot of detail your putting into this, i like it. interior, eh? cool component. maybe an low opacity on the visor texture could be cool to play with. hmmm, lol idk

I was thinking of making an effect where the Visor can polarize and depolarize like the ODST helm. I don't like the idea of barely or completely seeing a Spartans face like that.

yea totally, but in ODST they has some special Glass/clear plastic shader for it, so i was cutting corners, maybe you could give it a bump map, but the secondary/translucent map could just be hinted shades with minimal opacity, it all being clear, but the designs on the visor, are... here ill show you using halo 3's map. i made it by editing the original (low resolution) beta maps, so dont freak about the quality. looks pretty good though, i might continue to play with this idea.
