I remember watching the DC Nation short about him and loved every second of it and I don't know why but i've come to the conclusion that he's the DC version of Dazzler since they're both based on big cultural movements of the 20th century Dazzler was disco themed while Vibe was hip-hop. Also did you hear that he's going to be introduced into the New 52 Justice League?

I know about him because of Tom Katers podcast "Tom Vs. The JLA" where Tom Kters from the Around Comics podcast gives a play-by-play of an issue of the JLA. Now it's called Tom Vs. The Flash though, because he stopped reading JLA issues right after Justice League: Detroit were all killed.
You should check it out. He's got a good sense of humor about old comic book plotlines and character deveopment.
