Did you remember the epilogue after Sunset won of Midnight Sparkle, that Principal Cinch is becoming upset on Celestia and Luna about using magic till the Friendship Games?
Now, my headcanon says that Cinch invited the two Canterlot High principals for a conversation about the (next) friendship games, but then something unexpected happened: Cinch is (like the title says) still upset on the 2 principals about the magic things after the Friendship games, so she quickly and handy tied up and gagged the principals to teach them a lesson
