Eeko's team plus the folk who was rowing the boat went down the streams of the whispering caves. The folk told many stories of Deadmans Cove and the creatures. Marley sat and listened to most of them and added on to some because Deadmans cove was her home after all, and she knew a fair amount about the creatures since her sol often dealt with them.

For one story, Marley mysteriously disappeared, the kits didn't notice at first since they were entranced by the stories. This particular story was a little more grim than the other ones, telling a frightening story that kept everyone's ears poked up and eyes widened.

When the folk got to the end of the story, they shouted ,"then they screamed!"

Marley popped out of the water and screamed at the top of her lounges, usually she only screamed to get attention but this time she used it as a story enhancer. She frightened most of the kits in the boat, and the kits who were riding completely different boats and not even listening to the story.

Some were not particularly happy with the sudden screech but the others managed to laugh it off.

"Gotcha good, didn't we!" Marley snickered as she climbed back into the boat.
