i think i do have a basic snake fractal somewhere though eventually i plan to make something snake like and more complex

that icon is so funny. one of my favourites. haha, my random batch in apo are just three-legged monsters and doodlings which a 2-year can do better. I love your fractal animals

i can see why
i think i have a knack for seeing shapes in random batches some require more tweaking than others but i have often had people say to me 'well how do you spot these things?' and the answer is i'm not sure - must just be a good imagination

But you don't just twist them in apo? You put the pieces together in PS too?

sometimes i do yes, sometimes i put the pieces together. with this squirrel i was lucky all i really did with photoshop was neaten an edge and add the eye and frame - the shape pretty much came out this way

That's impressing. Even when I did see potential shapes in apo, I never managed to shape them into what I wanted.

i think the other one thats impressed me is in my scraps i've just put it up - its a sealion shape - essentially all the shape was there i just added the one flipper. i get these shapes by sheer chance usually then jsut tweak a little or a lot with PS to get a result
