I put up a pic I put in scraps that didn't get touched for a month or two (I think), so I decided to drag it out and do something with it. I'll admit, for one of the major stories on my FF.net account and in general, I'm always so nervous about putting up anything relating to it. Maybe it's because of the game it's based on or the fact the things introduced in it being sort of the focus, I don't know, as I admit, I'm not the biggest fan either. But I find that it's a challenge of sorts to try and do something with it, maybe try and get an angle that wasn't tackled before, but that's just me. I'm just bizarre like that, I guess.

Anyhow, at first, it was going to be showing Shadow here standing and Octavia (the human) on one knee, yet given that something's going to happen involving Edgy McEdgeHedge's inhibitor rings (don't want to give exactly what, but something happens with them), so I didn't want to show them in case because I haven't decided on where this scene is going to take place. But it is definitely taking place sometime in the near future.

Please forgive me if I sound like a shameless plugger, but anyone reading would know that Shadow and Octavia aren't exactly on best terms, yet this moment here is where they begin to have more of a understanding and general connection with each other (no, they are NOT lovers, she is already involved with someone and Shadow's spent most of his life with a twelve year old girl). After some informing and explaining, Octavia is moved and proclaims to him that she'll do as she set out to do and protect him with her life. Even if she's been doing a crap job of it, and even if she's far weaker and overall not much use to anyone, especially in this, she'll do whatever she can to make sure he turns out alright.

It's sort of more of a look into both of their minds, especially her psyche, as she literally doesn't see herself of having any value, that this is the only thing of value she can do and had better do it, regardless of what happens to her. Not a healthy mindset, but that's the point, and one she'll be working away from in the story.

Also, Shadow's eyes are yellow for a reason, it's not a coloring error in case anyone's wondering.
