Some context, this was going to be a piece of Yuzuka, yet I didn't feel the pose was right, so I enlarged it, thinking it would do good for a portrait. Then I realized that the resizing made the line work blurred and pixely. So I redid it. Which then led me to forgetting to not combine layers, as while I was drawing this, I thought I could make one to send to Facebook (kimono on), then submit the one without here and on Twitter.

So, here's a random girl in a kimono. Or it could be Yuzuka ready for work at the okiya.

I've been reading a lot of Sailor Moon doujinshi, and there's a particular series of doujin by Blue Lynx (can be found here) that I took a lot of inspiration from for this. And like it, it's not a completely accurate recapturing of Naoko Takeuchi's style, yet it's recognizable. In some cases, I may be in the mood to prefer it to the official style. Again, I deivated a bit from the original artist with a few touches of my own (nose nostrils, definition of the neck, etc.), but again, I think that a lot of the inspiration is still there. Not trying to be a copycat of Blue Lynx's style, it's just what seeped into this when I did it.

Anyhow, please give your input (comment please), as I might be testing with a more manga-esque style for a bit.
