Um...yep. Just to show that I'm alive, and to have fun with all the Mega Man Universe hatred out there, it's infamous Bad Box Art Mega Man doing his best Vegeta impersonation. Over 9000 and whatnot.Totally have lacked both time and motivation as of late. Sorry. Don't even have any games to blame on my artistic absence. Haven't played anything in 2 weeks. Don't know if this will jumpstart me again or not. I'm hoping to get a few things done before the holidays at least. I've got enough half started pics that need to get finished. And I need to actually try my tablet for once, too.
Classic MM1 Bad Box Art Mega Man is Copyright the poor soul who persuaded Capcom of America to slap him on their box.

I've never done an oekaki because I can never seem to draw properly on tablet, only paint. If you can draw funny pics like this in a jiffy, I salute you, suh! And yes, I recognized the 'over 9000' expression before I even read your description.

Yeah, I've heard many people have issues with drawing on oekaki, either due to applet issues or their tablets just not liking the program in general.

MM1's boxart was WAY off in accuracy. At least they improved over time instead of staying with this guy or else people wouldve really been screaming.

Imagine if his popularity took off and they remodeled the sprite after the first boxart! That would have been weird...or the total death of the character.

Yeah, it really is interesting how the boxart always evolved, at least in the US. So many different interpretations of what Mega Man should have looked like. Really is cool, IMO.

Apparently that cover art came to be when an artist from capcom asked a friend of his to do it instead...I guess it goes to show if you want something done right, do it yourself!!

The actual boxart one does, but I was basically just sticking with a combo reference of the Universe art [link] and Veggietales himself. It was a quickie oekaki by my standards.

You know, there was a Spanish version of It had Veggie in a pancho and sambrrero sporting a mustache, but I can't find it anywhere. It was either masque9000 or masde9000 or something like that.:C

Pretty freakin' cool Duo. Now that MMU gameplay is out, hopefully we'll get to see some of RMO, rather than all the pretty art. But honestly, I love all the pretty art that RMO keeps pumping out.

I've gotten to the point where I can rarely even muster a general post about my feelings on game news, because I'm so ready to rant about the lame whining that's been plaguing the usual sites, whether it's Protodude's blog or TMMN. So tired of it I've just stayed quiet, unless I'm replying to someone here. :/

I know, even TV Tropes mentioned the unpleasable fanbase in their article about Megaman. I mean all fanbases will have whiners, but none to the degree of the Megaman Fans, andit's probably because there's so many different series and so many different ways of gameplay and concepts. I've only seen a few whiners because I don't really hang out at TMMN or Protodudes's blog (in TMMN's case, I've heard awhile ago that if you're new and have an opinion you're liable to get attacked, so I've been afraid of it).
That doesn't mean I know about the unpleasable fanbase. I listen to alot of underground music, so I get to hear plenty about people complaining about how people are ruining the genres or continuous whining about Pendulum or other people that have, "ruined Drum and Bass." It's about this time where I've gotten steeled upon it, even if it's been better this year than it's ever had before.
And here I've gone on a rut. xD Sorry.

Like any place, it's all about how you word it. Yes, on the TMMN main page, some attacks have happened, but the staff is really doing a better job at cracking down on it. And on the forums now that I'm a mod, I definitely would speak up if somebody is treating someone wrong. There are always trolls on the net, unfortunately.

I wonder what other Mega Mans they'll have... Powered Up Mega Man? X and Zero? Biometal Mega Man? MegaMan.EXE? Starforce MegaMan? And why not the sprites of 8-bit Mega Man, 16-bit Mega Man, and 32-bit Mega Man?

The customization revealed today looks promising. I figured there would be something, but to what degree we weren't sure. If they aren't official, I think we could probably custom make them all!

And on the Character Select screen, as well as stats, Special Weapons, and Items, there is an empty area marked "Chip Slot". Is this a reference to Battle Chips? Maybe Battle Network will be represented after all!
