So I made a alien that was originally part of a joke where if we colonized space McDonalds would have to expand to since colonization would greatly increase the population (not including the alien races that we would meet) so entire planets might be nothing but farms for the ingredients for their food. The joke was basically "we don't need to go to planet McDonalds, there's food on Earth." I just liked the joke so much that I doodled it, sadly didn't finish the doodle.

But I liked the alien design so much that I decided to try to figure out what the rest of him would look like since I only drew his upper body for it. In his sort of concept art I wanted to try and come up with something truely alien, so I tried to avoid Humaniod syndrome.

A bit of a rant and also advice for when you do aliens, don't make them too humanoid or too much like a animal on earth. Sure you can still give them similar traits and put them in similar environments like those to earth but you'll also want to make your aliens actually alien. If you want to make realistic aliens you need to remember that they most likely come from a planet that was not completely like our own, not even creatures from millions of years ago looked like animals we have today.

Would aliens even have fingers? Would they have eyes? Would they need water or some other liquid?

This is why I love projects and films like "Life on Snaiad" or "Alien Planet" cause they put the alien part of alien in big bold letters. If you want to check them out I'll link the Snaiad website and the Alien Planet film for you to see, they're creative and amazing. And I kinda want to try to make something like those and I kinda am with the Cy but that's more like a After Man or The future is wild sort of thing with a bit of magic thrown in.

I might do a project with this guy in the future, giving him a planet and such later on, but it'll be a hobby and I might have to do research to make it realistic incase I want to make a book or comic or artbook in the future since the world could use more stuff like that. Part of the reason I like this sort of stuff is because anyone can make a book about animals on earth but your just restating what millions already know about earth, I just find the creativity of such projects interesting and each project, book and film about alien worlds has it's own little twist.
