So finally, here\'s my entry for the #YuriGroup 's after school contest. This took me a while since I had to work on it on and off due to mass school projects.I had to repaint a few layers over and over again. Don't look at it too long or mistakes might come out.
I don't see the need to write down the story of this image, since I tried my hardest to portray what I can in the pic itself. I hope it's successful.

Still wondering if I should place them in the same universe as Cupid and Psyche. Probably so~

This is such a wonderful moment. ^__^ I love the atmosphere you've created with the color choices.
The crosshatching style of coloring that you use here is really great, too. I've never been able to do that right, but it makes for a really interesting effect. And the details are awesome, the perspective is very well done... yeah. This is an overall awesome picture.
I need a bit of clarification, though... which one of Saki and which one is Rina?

This is a great piece. It has a very warm and cozy feeling. The colors are great, and the setting is very realistic. It fits the theme perfectly. Not to mention I'm in love with that blue haired character at first sight. Thank you for creating such a wonderful piece!

I have a 7 year old niece, who kissed another girl. Nothing else, just a simple childish peck on the lips. Innocent enough, but because my family is in the bible belt, it is considered unholy. Also, with the "zero tolerance" policy, my niece was suspended for a week.
Anyway, your artwork brought me enough comfort to open up. It is beautiful, and I do hope that one day people like me and my wife will be accepted.

Awww, so how did they come to be a couple?

Well, long story short, Rina's parents needed to cut down on expenses and decided that it was best to split her apartment rent into two. Saki becomes her roommate, who goes to a public school (unlike the other girl who attends a private one) just nearby. Soon enough they formed a friendship as roommates which later blossomed into something else.
