Greenlandic European Communities membership referendum, 1982

Petition · Sadiq Khan: Declare London independent from the UK      (Londonistan...)

Main characters: Brave Great Britain, Slovakia, EU, Hollande. France, Greenland.

Also the good thing is that ther was idea that European countries that refuse to share the burden of high immigration will face a financial charge of about 250,000 per refugee... Now after brexit the EU will probably not implemented it.

Wait, €250,000 per refugee? So 4 PLN = €1 and Poland had to accept 12,000 refugees, so that mean that we should pay 12,000,000,000 PLN (That's nearby equals the budget of Warsaw) and  also another 150,000,000,000 PLN for not accepting another 150,000 migrants, so that all equals the price of 13,500 rockets

But for me that idea have no sense and thanks god that hasn't been implemented

Countries that have problem with migrants, like Germany will try to get it back on table and will vote yes, if things go bad, to relieve pressure on them.

Good luck with the Slovakian Presidency, Ireland might be next out - the E.U. wants us to lose the common travel zone we've had with Britain since 1920's and we'll have to increase the border formalities with Northern Ireland - no more cheap shopping trips to Belfast

Well, it is obvious that EU will try to punish GB in order to prevent other countries from leaving, but, this GB vs Ireland thing should stay up to you to decide.

Yeah, I had to do a term of E.U. Law at College, one of the supposed principles of the E.U. is subsidiarity i.e. decisions should be taken closest to the people affected by them, so it should be left for us to decide.  The border was good for making money for the I.R.A. other terrorist organisations and gangsters by smuggling & forgery

Wait, are you demonizing borders? How are borders good for terrorists?!

menapia In reply to Rodegas [2016-07-02 23:01:27 +0000 UTC]

Back before we joined the European Community - as it was then - the Border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland(Still ruled by Britain) was used by the I.R.A and other terrorists to make money by smuggling and I mean millions from it -  one I.R.A. gangster ran his smuggling business from a farm that was divided by the Border i.e. when the Gardai(Republic police) came investigating he simply went to the part of the farm on the the Northern Irish side of the border & out of jurisdiction and vice versa.

In Ireland's case the border chops off the top end of our Island and it meant cutting off roads, railways and in a few cases bridges - it's over 300 miles/499 Km long, very difficult to police, it also had some odd consequences such as cutting some Irish towns in two - like Pettigo - one part of the town became part of the Republic and the rest in Northern Ireland and therefore became "foreign".

If I would be Greenland... I would punch you so hard to teach you respect!
Well, they have good fishing industry, that was the main reason for them to leave and the reason why Iceland and Norway did not join when it was cool...

So what's your opinion on brexit?
