(PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT IF YOU PLAN ON USING THIS PICTURE ANYWHERE!!)Here's a picture I've been meaning to do ever since the starters were revealed, I had made some preliminary sketches but nothing ever felt right. But today I felt inspired to do this picture again, and it's a good way to pass the time while waiting for pokemon leaks.
Gen V has the best starters ever, I like them all and am having a hard time choosing between them, especially between Pokabu and Mijumaru, both are so cute! I'll probably go with Pokabu though because I always do my first playthrough with a fire type. Although I've also contemplated using all three starters at the same time.
I tried a couple new coloring techniques and think it worked out surprisingly well, hope you guys like this!

I'd want Oshawott. Mostly because I grew up in the desert and ate plenty of javalina and snake meat, but I could never eat an otter! They're too cute to eat!

Aaaa this realistic style for all three of them look so cool! I especially love the Oshawott's collar and how you drew the ears even in realistic style the way they're meant to look (imo) ;v;. And his mouth and nose sdhgisgh so cuuteeee. I love Tepig's ears, and Snivy's cool snake realism <333.

Absolutely adorable. But if the starter green is supposed to be a snake, why did they give it limbs? It should be called a lizard then. But I love this!!!!! I can't *wait* for Pokemon Black and White!!!

It's to mirror the evolution of snakes, as they actually started out having limbs.
