I knew a girl who had eating disorders.I'm pretty sure though that someone else has already thought of the idea behind this picture.
Charcoal, Bic pen, and green Crayola (TM) pencil on some kind of paper.

As someone who has struggled with an eating disorder for 10 years now, I have to say this is one of the better depictions of how life is for me. I particularly like how the actual girl is holding up the peace sign while the reflection is giving back the middle finger.

This is how I feel and see myself sometimes when I look in the mirror. It's not the major reason behind the disorder though. Not just about the fear of fat or eating. That's only the symptom to something much deeper and more painful. But you did a very good job at translating this world into a drawing. It says a lot. And the way you have the thinner girl looking at her "fat" reflection is very stirring.

Totally. Glad to support a good depiction of eating disorders (ED). There are so many that make it out to be something pathetic ans stupid and that girls with ED are self-centered and obsessed with weight. True to some degree, but it's really about something deeper.
I did like how in your depiction it felt that the girl was 1) looking at her "fat" self in the mirror, but 2) that in the skinny girl's eyes, there was something else that she was searching for in that mirror. Longing for something that she needed or never got as a child.

The idea has been used many times, but I must say that the drawings and character designs are lovely! I've added this to my collection for a reason.
The anorexic girl reminds me of me when I was thin because of this.

It's true that this idea has been used before but I feel like your art style and the colours you used really captures the feelings behind eating disorders. It makes you realize how horrible it really is.

This made me cry so bad. I have a few friends who are anorexic and i just don't understand why someone would do that to themselves. I love the feeling behind this. I also agree with FakesAreCool. Very blunt <3 in a good way.

This is a great picture... amazing. I had anorexia once, and my friend did too... she's now relapsed and she's gotten really bad. I still feel awful when I eat, but thinking of her... yeah, ithelps. This is an amazing picture, I love the mix of media you used! Perfect.

This really is something, the drawing style and the concept is just perfect. The colour green was the best choice for this, (my green addiction aside) as I feel this conveys the disillusion and sickness in the mind of these sufferers well.
