Do you know the game 'Savage, The Battle fot Newearth'? the first game? (I hated the style of the second game). We'll I designed some stuff for that game too.. well not actually, I sort of designed stuff and wished they had been in a game like that.
I was kinda disappointed with the beast faction of that game, most of the main units felt the same way, moved in the same way, and everything was magic and spells for them, nothing was left to the awesome innate skills animals can have. So what i did was to select the main groups of animals that could give a good fight, and here they are. This is not the worst page, but in following pages some of the other concepts of creatures I made for this game get quite nice.

132) Pachyderm: Do you remember the behemoth unit from that game? well, I liked the concept, but not the look of the creature. We are told it evolved from elephants, but it had horns instead of tusks, who made that mistake?. Doesn't matter, I wanted to embody the spirit of rhinoceros and hippopotamuses too in my concept.

133) Sickle-clawed tiger: Front line troopers, well, actually, each of this creatures only represents a kind or "taxa" of species each of wich I have a page for, so this one would represent carnivores. When i first played Savage, the battle for Newearth, my largest deception was when i first used the stalker unit, it was all like: "Yea, awesome, now I'm using the super leopard-man, I'm gonna rampage through the plains as crazy at 80 km/h ripping peoples throats off... wait, why my feline creature is not faster nor deadlier than the @$$hole with a sabre?". This kinds of units should climb trees, bounce from rock to rock, you know..

134) Chiroptera: I decided that bats should take the place of air units instead of birds. Specially 'cause birds are reptiles after all and they dont have so many special abilities, and if you think abou it, bat make up up to a quarter of the species of mammals.

135) Reptilia: "Reptiles" are no longer considered a scientific group, but who cares, neither are Pachyderms. This particular creature... I don't like it, but its because reptiles have so many awesome abilities that you can't just mix them in a ball of structures and hope to get something nice.

136) Pisces: Most of this set of units are partially or totally limited to water, yet extremely deadly if encountered in such situation.

137) Arthropoda: The most advanced kind of units, since the most advanced creatures of this game should be the first ones to evolve in the real world. In this order: Insects, fishes, reptiles, bats, carnivores, ""Pachyderms"" and apes. Insects are deadly assassins, stealthy and efficient at doing so, they have a wide range of skills.

138) Apes: the earliest of the units, they are very similar to humans ... but without the technology... that's bad. But they still can give a good fight. Remember the shaman from Savage?.
