Oh I love that game and the Fighter Jet that I wish was real are the VF series fighters from Macross and my favorite one is the VF-1 Valkyrie which my reason for like it is because it looks like the Legendary Grumman F-14 Tomcat. ANYTIME BABY!

What would you do if you got into a dogfight in a Vf-21 against a CFA-44?

Well after seeing what the CFA-44 can do I'd simple fall back onto well honed tactics of Dogfighting and use the VF-21's strengths to my advantages. Meaning I'd simply go into a climb (which I wouldn't have to worry about stalling since the VF-21's engines are designed to work in the vacuum of space) and wait for the CFA-44 to stall. But since I'd be flying a fighter that has a far superior avionics and radar. could just chose to either engage the CFA in a BVR or run since I have the better engines.Β

If you would start climbing I would take the CFA-44 and launch QAAM and ADMM missiles (like the micro missiles in macross) at your aircraft, and possibly even use the railguns

True but once you do launch the QAAM and the ADMM at me I'd simple change from fighter to Gerwalker mode to rapidly change directions before changing to battlroid mode and shoot down the missiles that I can while dodging the others that I know won't hit.
But the VF-21 is also equipped with advanced stealth and jamming technology that I could simply activate to where the missiles wouldn't be able to track or lock onto me. Although you could still see me. But it wouldn't matter since I can shoot you down from what way I wanted too.
Besides the truth is in a real Dogfight it not the fighter jet that wins but the pilot's skills and training that would determine whether they live or die.

Fine, if you shoot down all the missiles and launch your own missiles, I will perform a high g maneuver and punch on the afterburners while launching chaff and flares, get a bead on your plane, switch to railguns and the 20 mm cannons in the nose and open fire
