Description This is our cistern...which used to be where our water was stored as it came down from the creek and before it went to the pump for the two houses. We are now on a well, due to all the issues the creek intake had with clogging. It's the best of 1890's technology.

Anyway, this was taken on our hike today. I always like how the building looks like it is going to fall apart at any moment but it is surprisingly sturdy.

Thanks! That is oddly one of the advantages to hiking around while it's raining, the sky is rather white or grey and makes the colors in everything else stand out.
