It didn't convince me that you would weaken the Godzilla98's atomic breath.
Godzilla'98 was criticized for not having atomic fire. But the series compensated the abilities that annulled him in the film: therefore in that picture he should rather complain about not being able to blast.
Remember that the blue fire of Godzilla'14 was not as effective against the MUTO only until the "kiss of death" (the same would happen with G. Jr vs C. Rex).

well the atomic blast did also weaken and knock down the female muto to the ground, so it was pretty effective. with Zilla's atomic fire i noticed it did just burn a lot of his enemies but idk if it would be strong enough to knock down his enemies or sever their body parts

I know for a fact, that it's radioactive obviously. Though Zilla Junior can be so adorable at times. He's like a 300ft puppy :3.

Since it's birth, Beast From 20,000 Fathoms isn't that much known and it will be better than Godzilla 1998. Beast From 20,000 Fathoms deserves remake/reboot movies, the Redhosaurus is a good kaiju and without him, Godzilla wouldn't be born. (I mean Rhedosaurus did help to create Godzilla)

For me, G98 and G14 are the same character but redesigned.

not according to Japan though, we now call him Zilla but Toho refers to it as GINO, which means "Godzilla In Name Only", meaning that they only share the name but nothing else
...Japan is harsh on that shit lmao

I understand that Zilla is a copy of Toho.
It's just an attempt to deny what happened. If godzilla does not meet fan expectations, they will deny it as another character.
But considering that a "reboot" reinitiates a story, then, focusing on a film (in this case the Monsterverse), then the 1998 film never happened. Everybody wins!
(The 1998 film ruined Godzilla, but Godzilla isn't to blame, it's the fault of Roland and Patrick).

This is cute! If I could interview Zilla, it’d go like this.
Me: “Zilla, do you take offense to being called “Godzilla”?”
Zilla: “Ok, now you see, there’s nothing wrong with Godzilla. Godzilla’s a strong, muscular reptilian machine! But they’re only doing it to be derogatory about me, right? It’s cause I got spikes on my back and flammable breath. So no, I don’t mind being called Godzilla, if you use it in the right kind of sense.”

To be more accurate Zilla Jr's ray WAS atomic energy not just green fire

Old-Stargazer In reply to Thunderstudent [2016-07-12 22:15:46 +0000 UTC]
It wasn't exactly plasma like Godzilla's atomic breath. Much more like...well, green fire.

Thunderstudent In reply to Old-Stargazer [2016-07-13 04:01:47 +0000 UTC]
Godzilla's isn't plasma either but I see your point, then again the Showa Godzilla's didn't look like a concentrated beam at first either.

Old-Stargazer In reply to Thunderstudent [2016-07-13 12:37:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I think that you're right about that. Though I believe that Heisei Godzilla's was actually plasma since he used it underwater. Can we agree that the red spiral ray is definitely plasma?

RoFlo-Felorez In reply to Thunderstudent [2016-06-28 01:15:52 +0000 UTC]
fair enough but it didnt seem like concentrated energy like Goji's atomic breath

Erm... the bridge divisions of 2014 Godzilla would do less damage than the f-18 of the 1998 one.
