I really love how you drew him here. You made him older and more human-like (in the sense that he isn't three feet high with a huge head, you know? ) while still keeping him cute and youthful~

I always try to make a character that's often drawn by many in a different way, drawing him more humanly (with actual eye-frames) allows him to have a wider range of expressions, at least it's easier for me to draw the expressions.

It definitely does give his expressions more depth. I often found Klonoa's expressions hard to read in the games and a lot of the fan art that was close to either official style. Easier to draw, easier to read, that's how it should be XD
