Well I am a Pokémon lover. I love the first 151 Pokémon and the first movie is one of my all time favourite films.

I was also first exposed to Pokemon right around the same time it first came out here in the USA, back in 1998, if I'm correct. Because I remember many people in my school that I went to around this time started getting into the franchise when it started out. And I remember I was hooked on Pikachu! Ha ha, and I still like him/her/it. I also saw the original TV series, film, and I also had played Pokemon Yellow for Gameboy and the first Pokemon Stadium game. I remember it was crazy when the first film had just came out in theaters because it was talked about on the radio, lol.
I can't believe that the franchise is still holding pretty strong, even now after I basically left it after a few years from when it started out. And from what I've heard, there's almost 1000 Pokemon now, today. But I recently got somewhat back into it again because I got one of the Mystery Dungeon games. And I now think this game series of the franchise is the best and its concept / storyline too.

Ah. I highly recommend checking those games out if you haven't already. The concept of them is something that I think should've been introduced to the Poke franchise when it started out back in the 90s.
By the way, based on what I'm seeing from these comments and drawing, is Pikachu your most favorite Pokemon?
Pikachu is definitely for me and basically has always been because he/she/it is the first character I was exposed to when I first got interested in the franchise.
Funny thing though, Pikachu and Timon actually have similarities in their appearance.

Pikachu is indeed one of my favourite. Mostly because I love his clone from the 1st movie. I love how his clones ears are designed to differ him from a normal Pikachu.

Really? I personally thought it was kinda intriguing. Maybe not funny. But I guess it's something you don't see everyday from movies, from what I've seen.

Well that is true. It was mostly sad because Ash's Pikachu refused to fight to the death while his clone chose to. And Pikachu just stood his ground and took in every hit that was being thrown at him to the point where his clone couldn't take it anymore. What makes it more tear-jerking is that Pikachu held him when he was weak and when Mew and Mewtwo's energy balls smashed.
And yes, I'm gonna say it. I still cry when Pikachu cries for his fallen friend, Ash.

Yeah, that part when Ash's Pikachu holds onto the clone one after it can't hit him anymore and becomes weak / emotional was a little touching and then also when Ash turns to stone. But I don't think I actually cried when I saw this part of the film. I still think this entire part is completely interesting and also the part when the clone keeps saying: "Pika!", every time it kept hitting Ash's Pikachu. I wonder what that quote translates to in human language when it's doing that.
I think, in terms of the most tear-jerking thing that I've seen so far to come from the Poke franchise is what I saw at the end of the main story of Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time game, which I got this year. I found it really emotional and especially for a game, when your partner / best friend (remember, Pokemon are the only characters including yourself as the main character in this game series and you talk just like humans), remembers everything about you and your adventures, quest and battles you have together throughout the game, again, some months later after you disappear from him / her in the story. Because you yourself were from the future and you and your partner had to restore all of the time gears in order to prevent time from completely stopping in the Poke world and prevent its destruction.
Not only that, I think this has got to be one of the most emotional video games in history. I can easily see the creators of this game put a ton of work and thought into it. The main story of this Mystery Dungeon game is so good from start to finish, and as guy, I really did shed a few tears seeing the entire ending after you save the Poke world. There hasn't been anything else like this that has come from the Pokemon franchise as far as I've know, and it's the only thing from it that I've experienced this much emotion from.

Yep, I can almost completely guarantee that this Poke Mystery Dungeon (Explorers of Time) game will not fail to interest you, and you can be Pikachu (with your own name and male or female) like I was and I liked the emoticons the creators made for him / her when you say or think about something to yourself in this game.
My partner was a female Vulpix who I named "Nicole", but the game does the selecting of which Pokemon you're going to be, for you, based on some personality questions it asks you (but you can choose your partner Pokemon). On my first try, I actually was chosen to be Pikachu and I couldn't believe it!; Lol. But, when I actually started playing the game especially after the prologue gameplay, I wanted to really keep going. The more serious story events in the game sometimes come one after another especially midway and to the end.
There's already a couple of games that have been made for the series. I had already heard of Mystery Dungeon back in 2006 when I saw one of the first episodes on television when it was first released and I really liked the concept of the Pokemon being the actual characters. But I didn't hear about the series anymore on TV a few years later. So the TV series didn't make it far like the original has. But surprisingly, the games have and a new one is coming out by the end of this year. I think it'll be the 7th or 8th game to be released in the series.
But I had read back in June of this year on the internet that "Explorers of Time", which came out back in 2009 after two other ones the year before that it's connected to called "Explorers of Sky / Darkness", was supposedly the best one in the series so far. So I decided to check it out and buy it for my regular Nintendo DS and I finished the main story back at the end of September (there are four other side or story episode games you can play in this Mystery Dungeon game that feature other Poke characters you meet in the main game).
'Sorry if this a lot of writing about this game. But it is pretty good. Especially if you really like Pokemon altogether. Then again, the Mystery Dungeon creators had to get rid of Poke balls in this universe.

I've seen pokemon the first movie twice in theaters as far as I can remember. I had it on VHS but unfortunately I gave it away. The saddest moment of Ash being turned to stone.
