Oh Gawd, I LOVED that show!!! I can still remember the Italian opening by heart... and I was so absurdly proud of my huge bad guy's red dragon... I'm still upset by the fact I can't find it anywhere!! I'd love to see it again...

Haha I was looking up old cartoons myself the other day and thought of this one, and the "girl" version, Sky Dancers. I don't remember anything about them although I thought the villains were cool with their dragon wings.

Completely forgotten about it, though seeing this jogged my memory a bit. Any chance of you turning this stand-alone piece into a sort of series? To my knowledge, there's no Van Pire fan art out there.

It was both.
"Dragon Flyz Maximize!"Β (dragon flyz being their family surname oddly enough) was sort of a Battle Cry for the good guys when they activated the wings on their suits and took flight.
"Flight is Might!" was basically the slogan for the show, and sort of the unofficial rule for controlling the world they existed in, if I remember right.Β The villain Dreadwing certainly lived by it.
