Description Dustin Brooks made the cover of Motocross Monthly! Of course, he could have made the cover of GQ! I'm thinking of doing an inside magazine scan, you know where he's interviewed...

Notes: I like the way this came out, complete with all the little details. Did you notice the belt buckle says MOTO? Or the Storm Chargers logo on the bike behind him? Or the bike on his shirt? Or the barcode? The face is from the first episode of Power Rangers Ninja Storm, when the three are in Tori's van for the first time and Glenn Mcmillan (who plays Dustin) briefly looks at the camera as his head turns from Tori to Shane. Giving Dustin's hair a windblown look was a lot harder than it probably looks, but don't look closely. The picture is designed to be seen as a whole. At least taking the time to strand out the hairs meant that I could do the whole model in front of logo that a lot of magazines do.

Um, I'll put it on my "to do when I get more free time" list...which is a kinda long list...

This...

Is...

Awesome!

I gotta hand it to you on the details, it really adds up in the end. I really like the bubble-like texture behind Dustin on the right, and I totally dig all the fonts you used from the title to the "exclusive interview" bit. I did notice the Storm Chargers logo and it's really nicely done, looks like it's always been there.

The only thing that kind of looks a little out of place is the jacket (though I love the idea of it, it makes him look really cool, all relaxed and free spirited, not conforming to the "norm") but the edges on the left side, they look a little too sharp instead of flowy like material usually is.

All and all though, great job!

Thank you!

The background is a takeoff on the window display in Storm Chargers, but of course simpler because it's a background. I'm most happy with the way the face came out, especially since the screenshot had the rear view mirror covering part of his head and the rest of his face was off camera. And, of course, I always go gaga over Dustin looking at the camera (or, in my mind, at me).

Now, as for the jacket, the reason it came out the way it did is because I could not for the life of me find something in yellow that would work, so I had to shift the hue, which of course never looks quite right, especially around the edges and wherever a light source hits it (if you look closely you'll see this), but, in the end, I decided it was a minor detail. However, now that you have me looking at this, I notice a glaring error in a small section of the layering that I will have to fix. So, I'll see what else I can do when I'm in PhotoShop. I don't think I'll need to send an image update alert, though, because it'll probably be considered minor to most people.

Thanks again!
