Now for the story behind it:

Saphira had been busy flying with Firnen, for what she would expect to be the last time. Since he was, after all, the father of her eggs, she had spent much time with him while she waited for Eragon to say he was ready to leave.

She landed on the ground, and behind her, Firnen copied. She'd discovered he was a very talented flyer int he air. Anyu moves she'd do, he'd do it better, which humored her, especially because of his age. But during the wole time, she could tell there was soemthing bothering Firnen.

"Saphira-" Firnen suddenly said in his mind to hers, his voice quavering a bit and a little uncertain- "Saphira....I'll see you again, right?"

Saphira's wise eyes eyes turned around to gaze at the green dragon sadly. She knows what it is like to be the only dragon in the land. Now Firnen, father of her eggs, her friend, would have to endure the same thing, at a young age.

"In time, Firnen. In time."
