A while go I tried to create a blood bender for the Avatar universe, but failed. She had no depth and a slapped together design....NOW after thinking about it a bit more I've redone my character!

This is Ama from the Northern Water tribe. She now resides in the Earth Kingdom as a travelling healer (said to be the greatest in history).

While Ama was just a baby her mother snuck into the sacred area at the North pole and blessed her in the pool of the Spirits. Ama was gifted with great waterbending power but also was left unable to speak any 'human' language. Instead she speaks in the "Tongue of the spirits" (which sounds pretty wierd to most people)...

No one ever knew of what had happened. Her mother claimed that Ama was just a bit slow on the uptake of speaking normally. Ama took healing classes just like all the other girls who could bend, but of course since she was blessed by the Moon and Water Spirits, she was MUCH better. Unfortunatly during one course she killed a fellow classmate. Unknowingly she had learned how to bloodbend....

You can piece the rest together. Everyone found out why she was like this. She gets banished. Hones her skills. Now she heals people....but not for the reasons you'd think. She is facinated with the human body. Always trying to learn more or find new techniques. She's also created many styles of blood bending, many of which she uses on herself. She can even heal a fatal wound in seconds if it's on her own body.

Ama is known as a regular contestant at Earth Rumble. They call her the Immortal Witch since so far no one has beaten let alone left a scratch on her. Some claim to have seen her re-attatch limbs or to have made weapons with her own blood. No one is really sure how old she is either. One old man says she used to visit his mother for healing sessions when he was just 10 years old....
