....a monster merman is tired of picking up yo trash...3 hours for creatur design/concept and basic composition, 1 hour rendering
have soo much infor on this character/speices thing but for now, in short, monster mer-croco-python-vampire-man...yeah i´ll be coming up with a catchier name than that..XD
(also, he hasn´t made an apperance in my gallery yet but one of my side characters for RPs, Dragomir Řezníček but as a merman (he is usually just a big deaf, murder on the outside teddy bear on the inside, sort of character..)

OHHHhh I love this so much!!! Every aspect on this piece is gorgeous! I am sensitive to underwater stuff and looking this makes my stomach twist, but that just means you have succeeded at creating something truly creepy yet amazing at the same time! ♥

I love the whole composition! Especially the floating bags in the water! Though I think the guy's head could have been a bit more scary, he looks too tame for a python-croco-vampire man you were going for.

I'm definitely not seeing any inner teddy bear. This guy looks like two thousand pounds of fuck your shit up, intimidation off the charts. The stillness of the scene makes me anxious like i'm watching every detail to avoid getting drowned, eviscerated, and eaten at the same time.

not counting the time first just googling up some research images for reptiles and mermaids and stuff, the first photobash sketch and design process took 3hours, then i took a break(ate dinner and stuff) then when i came back to it i pushed the rendering a bit more with fresh eyes for another hour, so in total work time 4 hours + some prep work for research^^

thank you! the tail is actually a combination of crocodile and anaconda, a bit tricky since i wanted the soft snakelike movements but still the tough scales skin of the crock/gator..an eel version could be really cool too thoughO_o
