Another part of a drawing series I made for anatomy class. The context of the drawing is about war, death, and flowers. Universally flowers are seen as a beautiful and delicate materials that God and nature gives us. They are used for decorations that being man made such as for vases, headbands, necklaces, ect. Flowers are seen as objects for some people. The most common practice I have seen but do not practice, due to my religion, is gifting flowers for the dead. Offering flowers for the dead is a sign of respect and honoring a love ones' family. While this to honor people, it is sad that the dead can't see and having any emotions. I wanted to depict nature taking over man, as war is a destructive towards life. I don't want to say much as it can be interrupted differently by the viewers point of view. There is more I can say but I'll let my art do the talking.
