My entry for the Shifting Seasons Event of TWWM featuring my little boy Nakido mourning at his own grave. This one is for the Inner Reflections Prompt.The last thing he remembered were his thought of coming home to play with his toy mouse and his loved owner. But this thought were interrupted by two bright lights.
As he came home his family were calling him but they didn´t recognized him. "But I am here, right in front of you..."
He didn´t thought much about it. Maybe his owners just didn´t saw him. So he went inside on his favorite spot to sleep. He forgot about his favorite Toy Mouse for a moment. Maybe his owners calmed a bit once he´s awake again so he can play with his friends.
But as the days went by his owners keep to not recognize him. One day he saw his small best friend making some sad noises, he had water in his eyes. At the same day his owners took his favorite toy outside and put it on some sticks. He didnt understood why his owners would do this. Obviously he would be still using his little toy...
Time has passed by and today, the day his owners built his memorial he is still trying to understand why, why him.
He once met another one of his kind, they told him the truth. But he didn´t understand...
All he knows is that he is missing his best friend.
