Those are Ellen and Keats (and two little friendly folks: Killmoulis and Henky) from the PS3 game Folklore © Game Republic & Sony Computer EntertainmentI was awfully surprised when I had realised that there is nearly no Folklore fanart.
Hm, well, I do understand that the game is little known.
And I do understand it has a number of drawbacks: lack of freedom, linearity, little number of cutscenes and no voices rest of the time.
But the game is STILL great, 'cause it has a number of merits too: dynamism, competitiveness, detective-ness, TEH DESIGNS!
The gameplay is not banal and I love it SO MUCH, the story absorbs, the characters... to tell the truth, they lack depth. But for Keats I'd tolerate everything! 'Cause either you hate his oversarcastic behaviour or you love it. And Ellen is such а incorrigibly naive (not to tell silly) but overall nice person.
(Me, I've just beat the 3d chapter. Man, it's a pleasure to play this game!)

A snow brush (which I customized) for dots, Nik Color Efer Pro 3.0 Complete for some blur and additional shading, the rest is done by hand.

Right now I'm on chapter 3 (With both Ellen and Keats I've been playing them one after the other.) He is so awesome. XD Plus I love Ellens messanger outfit, though I wish keats clothes had changed too...though that whole shirtless thing was a nice treat...at least until he turned blue. >_> I'm probably going to try and play some more soon but Fatal Frame IV won my attention after fighting with the translation patch for half a year and finally getting it to work. >_> Otherwise i'd be swapping between this and borderlands.XD

funny thing is, i got this game on a whim, and i ended up completly thanking god that i did, its sort of like final fantasy meets pokemon (the gameplay, not storywise) its very fun XD oh and those two little folklore in your picture were always set to active XD i never did beat that damn giant crow tho

Yes, I stuck with Henky till the end! (though replaced Killmoulis by that giant stone arms thing later on; the Yama-Judge-folklore were nearly unbeatable without it. Ooooh, I hated that guy!!)
Take your time, the battle is long but not that<\i> difficult. The Keats' one was tensier. And with Ellen you simply have to do it slowly and watch out for the crows. I remember I had to block really, really often.
You don't have to justify Scarecword before of me. I think he's creepy XD

LOL i got up to one part in the raven battle, i remember, and then he did this huge attack and killed me instantly ime like WTF HACKS! D:< also the judge was easy o.O; he was one of the easy ones, the one i had most diffculty with besides the raven one was the damn LIVING ROOM. its like, the hands coming out of the damn walls and then something came out of the cieling behind me and the camera was turned so i didn't see it but i instincivly said "that was a foot...wasnt it..." then a foot came down and tried to stomp me and im like " yup...that was a foot"
the worste part was the fact when i was pulling out the hart in the middle, when i was trying to pull out its soul, or its "ID" i guess it is, the hands were still coming through the wall and the foots were still trying to stomp me O-O thats not supposed to happen when your capturing is it! XD anyway despite all the odds i DID manage to do it XD

I'm sure you'll make it if you find a way to avoid/block that attack! Take your time, find your tactics, and he will fall!
The judge was the first boss (at least after Gargantua) that took me more than 1 try (3, actually). He was horrible -___-

i still managed to beat it though lol, which was easier for you, keats or ellen?
see its seems like keats was harder becuase the folks were more a part of his body so when using them with keats you usually cant move untill the attack is finished
however with ellen you can set them to attack and then move around while their attcking if you have to,they also serve as a bit of a shield for ellen, so they always get hit instead of ellen getting hit
so for me ellen was easier, i almost hated playing with keats becuase i played all the chapters with ellen (well as far as u can go with JUST her) then found out, oh crap now i gatta do it with keats >.< they could have at least had different bosses since you HAVE to play both of them, i disliked fightiing that damn living room a second time DX.

You mean, easier to beat Scarecrow? Definitely Ellen! Keats takes too much damage...
But overall I can't compare them: I begin the new realm with Ellen and of course the exploration takes me more time. With Keats I already know where to go and what to do. I'd say I like to play with Ellen more, but... Keats have Fomoire!

The huge one you get in the Hellrealm, before you enter the swamp and the tower! He's deadly, I mean he's able to smash in pieces almost everything!

ooohhh hiimm, damn, that was one of the hardest ones for me to capture for seom reason, my favorite one was the one..uh...dang i dont remember what its called...and i only liked it when playing with ellen...uh, okay you get it in the underwater place (fail explaination) its four legged and blue and sort of looks like a sabor tooth crossed with deer (maybe) and it has a huge blade horn and it shoots long rang slashes from it, i thought that one was sooo cool XD

Speaking of hard captures... My ENEMY NUMBER ONE is Gargantua (the tank thing in Warcadia). That son of a bitch, he almost made my cry! I was almost dead when I've finally beaten him!

LMFAO yeh that was a hard one too, actually whenever i fought a boss i ALWAYS came out almost dead ._.;;; i only died on the tank one the one you seem to like from hellrealm, the raven, of course, and the one at the top of the elevator in hellrealms becuase i couldn't figure out how the hell to get his damn ID XD, oh and i also died with the living room, but i think that was a glitch becuase stuff was coming at me while i was trying to get its ID XD

When the demo was just relesed there was some kind of a competition with prizes. No signs of the artbook since then.
There are some pictures on the net, but the quality is usually low. I use TinEye from time to time to see if they've added any new game-themed sites. It happens that I find some new pictures.

I'll probably download it since PSN gives us compensations for the time it was down. (...as soon as the PSN stops to kick me out!). But I dunno, I played the demo version and... is it just me or the game is super BORING? And to be honest, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was the only game I've ever played in multiplayer.
And in general, I bought my ps3 when my dvd-player has broken down! The games were just an addition to the blu-ray function. A nice one!

Yes, I bought a ps2 when I finished school (oh, the irony! XD) to play Kingdom Hearts II. And eventually KHI, KHCoM, FFX, FFXII, Dirge of Cerberus, Silent Hill 2... yeah, a nice time

i watched my mom play silent hill, and omg im such a wimp, it scared the pants off of me and i wasnt even playing o.O; dude that game is almost as creepy as fatal frame *shutters*

Silent Hill is hilariously creepy! I've played it on super-easy and still cried every time another boss showed up
