Gaia always manages to inspire me to draw~ I can't resist all the items~~~ >w<So here are DV-chan and Catharyn in their halloween outfits! This year's gaia event was fun with all the different things you could be~ DV-chan is a dark elf and Catharyn is a vampire. I was going to have Syeon Ru as a zombie but then I found out I didn't really want any of those items so he's a vampire now which suits him better anyway :3 *babbling*
I know this pic is late for Halloween by quite a while. xD;; I actually worked hard on it to get it done not long after halloween and it was drawn and coloured all in less than a week which is amazing for me but then I'm really lazy when it comes to getting things scanned and on the internet =_=;;;
I got to play with the new pack of prismacolour markers I got for my birthday here, they're fun~~~ and it turned out good so I'm happy~~ xDD
(my brain melted at the thought of a title for this. I think Nightwish is the name of the band my friend likes but it was all I could think of that wasn't horribly cheesy x_0;; )

Anyways, the color scheme and blending is beyond amazing. The intense detail of the hair and clothing just makes it almost like you can touch it and feel texture. Just Wow.

Awesome job on the coloring. I really enjoy the blue skin, it came out really nice (and not streaky). Did you use markers for the whole thing?

What kind of paper do you use? I have some prismas myself. But i seem to still streak. Maybe youve got more skillz at markers than i do

If I remember correctly I think I used some sort of Staedtler pen for the thicker parts and a 0.05 copic pen for the fine lines (I highly recommend the 0.05!! Its so much fun to use and it makes everything look so much more refined!! : DDD )

Very pretty, and yes Nightwish is a band a darn awsome one at that. But I have a question, I've heard about them several times but I don't know what they are......What are prismacolour markers??? if you don't mind me asking, I'm kind of realativly new to the whole coloring my pics thing, I was always afraid to for fear I'd make it look worse than it already was. But now I'm trying to make good art to put on here and I only know of regular markers and colored pencils and Photoshop (even thought I want it) is alot out of my price range. Whoops I didn't mean to bable for that long sorry

yeah, colouring is a big step to take with a picture, I really hate it a lot of the time xD;; I find scanning the lineart or whatever before doing anything helps cause then you still kinda have it even if you mess up with the colours
Prismacolors are kinda like normal markers except that they're kinda expensive, there are many more colours to choose from and they blend very nicely 
Photoshop is a good program for colouring and drawing but a lot of people these days seem to be using cheaper/free/other programs that seem to work just as well. Painter is another program I hear about a lot but I don't really know a lot about computer colouring so I can't tell you anything else really xD;;;
I say if you're still experimenting, find a nice pack of inexpensive markers and some pencil crayons. Play with those and see what you like before you commit too much to any one medium

Wow thanks! thats alot of help, I'm going to try and get a program called Manga Studio Debut 4 it's cheap but it does just about all or just as well as photoshop. I'll have to try blending. I usualy can't scan my stuf I have a really cheap printer and every little smudge shows thats why I don't have very much art on here. Theres shadows that arent' drawn on there and all sorts of stuuf so I think I'm going to start taking pictures of my art with my camera and see if it doesn't look better then. I hope I will build up the courage to color and shade and all sorts of fancy stuff to my drawings. Thanks again, you were so much help!!!

Thats something I like about ones like prismacolours, that you can get individual colours instead of a whole new pack when you run out of one or two

haha I found my prismacolors on sale, thats why I got them xD; I like them very much! They blend so nicely, even the black marker doesn't leave streaks like I'm used to it doing in other sets
More colours are nice definately but I like playing with a smaller set before I choose which ones to get more of personally~

I haven't done any erasing on it I don't think but so far I haven't had any times when I streak it with my hand or anything since the paper absorbs it pretty quickly

And i tired to color with my crayons and it was very slow too 0-0" and it takes alot of crayon too to fill in a big piece.

After using markers for a while, it is pretty surprising to go back to pencil crayons and see how loooong it takes xD; 120 markers are a great dream~~~ *.*
For christmas I'd love to have a new anime I want to be released. I'll have to wait for february for that though~~ =w=;

Ohies XD I bought myself a 36+4 Bic Mark-it! marker set and a rainbow umbrella XD i can't wait to get them on X-mas XD and i wished for a Wii and The Dark Knight and some Star Trek seasons, and Air Gear manga! XD which i bought vol 4 because it had Akito/Agito in it XD;;
