Description
A giant lava elemental in the shape of a tyrannosaur is the boss of the volcano area. In addition to being incredibly tough and having powerful physical attacks, he can also spit globs of lava either directly at a target or into the air for them to come crashing down a moment later. And to make it even more difficult, he can heal himself with the latter attack, as he absorbs fire damage.
If the player took a detour outside to the volcano slopes, Toka could learn the Provoke ability by observing it from a Sabercat, as well as the Terroar ability from a Terrordon. These allow her to debuff the Magmarex's physical attacks, influence his movement somewhat, and act as a tank by drawing his attacks towards herself. Her increased evasiveness when using Adapt also helps with the latter, but she doesn't really have the defensive stats to keep this up for long.

In the original game, Magmar took the much less impressive form of an anthropomorphic rock T.rex that could curl up and roll around, much like the Vipers. I changed that because; let's be honest, it could hardly get better than a straight-up T.rex that is made out of lava and fights like a dragon. Also, I change his name because 'Magmar' is too closely connected to Pokémon by now.
