300 mm lens and a tripod. That, and a beautiful moon. I still had to crop it way down to get this close to it, and took several shots because even with the tri I would get a little shake in the camera. I also found that you don't need a very long exposure. The moon is rather bright, and tricks the camera because of the amount of dark around it. Anyway, slower shutter than you might think, and long lense. And tripod, still need that

I used a long lens, a tripod, and some luck. (I keep that in a little pouch) Thank you very much for the compliment, and comment.
