Description
Went and saw a bunch of butterflies, so be prepared for some more of these little fliers.
As always, please tell me that these need a ton of work, and they are way to blurry to really be any good. 
(They are, I know, but I like to post something anyway.)

WOW very nice shot!! Tell me you used some sort of big pretty lens for this closeup?? You're right, they're a little blurry, but hey, look how close you were to his face...! I like how he's perched out on the edge of the plant, looks like he's ready to take off. Nice job!!

Its was just a 50mm lens, with as much extension tubes as I could get. Glad you like this.

Great shot, I just love how the eyes stand out. I wouldn't worry about the wings not being in focus, they don't need to be. This is a great shot. Not all shots have to be complete focused

There were some flowers in the back ground. This was down in the new butterfly house in the toledo zoo, so it could also be from the wall. btw, how was the college visit?

They are really great places to get good closeup shots of butterflies, you should check one out if you get a chance.

Nope not all of them, but the toledo zoo has one right now. I also hear that there is one down in whitehouse, west of toledo that has some tropical butterflies.

woulda been nice if no blur but I don't think I would have gotte a shot like that if I took the pic so I really shouldnt say it's bad. It's an interesting shot nonetheless.

Yeah, I would have like to reduce the blur too, but its so hard to tell when you take the shot how it will really work out. Glad you liked it though.
