I personally love the fifth gen more, but I do like the forth gen, just like the other gens.

The fifth and third were the best, but fourth isn't half bad, either! I personally loved Dusknoir, Mismagius, Magmortar, Tangrowth, and Froslass.

We have DP to thank for the Physical/Special split, which pretty much saved the Dark type and made moves like Blaze Kick make sense.
Sinnoh has a weird atmosphere that just isn't in any of the other gens, and I think it introduced some of the most unique Pokémon.
I've played all the other gens, and Pearl is still my favorite of the series.
And remember, HGSS is part of the fourth gen too. It may be a remake, but it's a damn good remake.

Yeah. I dislike gen wunners. In fairness, all gens get hate. The only gen that is (unfairly) immune to this hate is gen 2.
I don't think any generation deserves so much anger and hate but if people are going to whine about trivial things for one of the gens, that sort of thing should apply to all gens, not just the one's people aren't nostalgic about.
Gen 1 : OMG! THE GAME IS BROKEN! POKEBALL POKEMON! MUK IS A PILE OF POOP! GRAPHICS SO UGLY!
Gen 2: It's perfect. There's wrong with it!

I have to admit, the 4th gen is my least favourite. 'Something about it that I didn't like as much, but it did have some cool pokemon.
