This painting is beautiful. But it seems sad. Like the subject in the painting is suffering from something. Perhaps pain from losing a loved one or feeling broken inside for other reasons.Β I can see this also being someone taking shelter from a disaster, such as a tornado maybe.
Eitherway it speaks volumes.
