How did you do the leather armor? That is also one of my problems. I am really new to cosplay and am having a hard time with leather, wigs, etc. Did you dye the leather? Thanks.

Hi there! Thank you! Uhh...I will try my best to answer your questions. I am the Pippin (my best friend made Merry) and that was in ...uh...2005? The wig was a longer one from ebay, we just cut it. I think there are even better ones at ebay these days. And yes, we did dye the leather, also we worked with a soldering bolt for the engravings. A friiend of mine also did the chainmail ring by ring, later I saw at the making of that they used aluminium instead of iron and fake a lot. But mine is real and about 12 kg ^^°°°. Haha...don't forget to post some awesome pics here when you both are ready! I would love to see them!!!

Love the cosplay. I am a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan. I have already cosplayed as Frodo and am working on a costume for Merry (The Rohan version, like yours). Where did you get the wig? That is my biggest problem with Frodo and now with Merry. I can't find a good one anywhere and yet I see all theses amazing cosplays where they have the perfect wig.
My older sister is actually cosplaying as Eowyn during the Battle of Palenor Fields. We are making chain mail for her, but we are making the rings instead of buying them. It is a lot of fun. Thanks again.
