So there you are you just finished drawing your favorite character/paring/pony/wolf/etc.... all day and you decide to upload it on DA to share your art with your fanbase.You wait eagerly for the first comment and hope its something good or you find a person who loves what you drew as much as you do. Then when you see that you got feeback message you get excited.
Then it reads "OMG this character/paring/wolf/pony/etc...sucks nice drawing though"
Use this if you hate it when you or your friend worked on something hard just to have someone randomly drop by and slam it. I mean we all have our likes and dislikes, but why would you search for fanart for the stuff you hate just to bash on the artist's work and fanbase for having different tastes? Its disrespectful and rude.

Honestly, people can just as easily be civil as not; the old adage, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything" is one best for people to keep in mind.

It is very annoying when I draw fanart for a certain show or film and I get a comment saying
'I hate that show/film'

A factor that I've seen happen more times than I can count. I really wish people would just not bother with comments on stuff they dislike and instead just comment on something they like. If MORE users did that, then this site would be such a nicer place.

People always say 'Well how do I know I'll hate it if I don't see it?' ...okay if you know for a fact you hate *insert character name here* for example then why are you looking at my fanart or fanfictions for said character and complaining to me about it? People who do that stuff are really immature

Another thing that really bugs me is that when people post fanart/fanfiction of them (or their favorite character basically turning them ooc) brutally killing off their hated characters then tagging it under said characters name. I think people should just stick to drawing characters and pairings they love instead of wasting time on ones that they don't. -__-
If they are going to make fanart/fanfics like that then don't tag the characters or series name it isn't that hard.

Ugh that gets real irritating after awhile. Whenever I look up Sakura or Hinata fanart for example I mostly get positive images thankfully but once in awhile I'll see an idiot or two complaining/whining about how much they despise these characters

Well I don't mind people ranting about characters they hate its just the people who waste their time making fanfics or drawings killing them.
Also some people actually pay artists on here to kill off their hated characters in brutal ways I seen it. Why would people waste money on shit like that? Idiots. -___-

Yeah you see it's not the ranting I really have a problem with because I used to rant about characters I disliked also, it's all the hate stamps, hate art, etc that I loathe -__-

And the sad thing is that piece of art I saw was about one of my favorite anime character of all time and to make things worse I know the person who requested it drawn he is on my friends list on another site. I knew he hated that character and I was down with that cause I hate his favorite character from that same series. So when I saw he commissioned someone to draw my favorite character being stabbed with a sword it really pissed me off that someone I know would do that and that the commissioner took his money and drew it and then posted it all over my favorite character's tags here on DA. If I ever get good enough to take commissions I'm not doing that shit I don't care if they waved $100 at my face I won't draw something like that cause I want to spread love for characters not hate.
I can't say anything about that piece cause knowing them they will look through my gallery and see this stamp then bitch about how much of a hypocrite I am. -__-

Oh man that would suck finding out one of your own friends would do something like that. I think it's a good thing you don't draw that stuff just to earn some money, I mean really...that just doesn't make any sense what so ever drawing hate art. Good lord...I remember doing a base edit on my old DA account of Naruto punching Sakura for example and whenever I looked back at it I cringed literally -__- People are free to hate fictional characters but they also have to remember that they are not real as well.
I don't see how this stamp of your's is hypocritical honestly. It speaks the truth, if people don't like what a person is drawing or writing on here then they shouldn't watch that person or look through their stuff.

People have every right to voice their views on what you uploaded (that is, if you don't want to hear it, disable comments, hide what you don't like, or don't post it at all). However, the artist also has the right to not have to put up with insulting, uninsightful, or stupid comments. People should know better than to comment like that on people's art.
