Bio: Formed from the ashes of the Second World War, the Green Berets spearheaded America's intervention into Vietnam and formulate the US's early unconventional warfare policy. The Green Beret went on to become the god of unconventional warfare through the 80s and the 90s. They remained to this day in Afghanistan as an advanced pacification unit to earn the trust of the local population against the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists. In 2020, they are part of NATO's special operation task force known as Task Force Ghost to fight the Russian and Chinese led Sevastopol Pact Coalition, usually for propaganda and hearts and minds operation. They even participate in top secret operations to train local civiliants into guerrilla brigade led by the Green Berets team themselves, henced the nickname "Force multiplier".

Yeah, strange name for them, back in the 50s and 60s they seemed wearring green berets on ceremonies and on duty on the battlefields. But there have been a change of headgears back in 1973 and onward.

They still wear them in Britain. I had to deal with SO many head shots back when I was a medic. It's because some idiot's wear these Berets instead of they're normal Helmet's that I TELL them to wear!

Lucky when I was in the army as a medic I was wearing my helmet! At first I didn't know that the Medic's were SHOT like Clay-Pigpen's by the enemy!

also killers will die, soldiers of fortune forgotten, once they don't serve anymore. btw, what happened to the 'elite hitsquad' which killed old bin laden? as I read, they all perished shortly afterwards in an taliban attack on us-forces helicopter... very strange, isn't it?

There is a difference between soldiers and murderers:
- the soldiers protect your country from dangers - both enemy invasions and natural disasters using the force authorized in legal acts of countries. Sometimes it is necessary to defeat enemy using violent force - read your country's constitution and follow its legislation for more details;
- murderers are criminals, who kill random people from selfish reasons: for money, for vengeance or just for fun. Not like the soldiers.
As for the US Special Forces, who shot bin Laden - they just carried out their orders as it was expected and they perhaps still serve in their formation.

on the other hand, us-american soldiers in times of us-independence war were considered rebels and criminals by the royal forces of british crown

quite the contrary, I think USA & free west should have supported soviet union back in the 80ies when they really fought radical islamic killer troops in afghanistan - but CIA & other good patriot forces built and financed and trained instead exactly - AL-QAEDA, taliban & other radical islamist killers to fight against 'comunism'...
(as the laden-family were (and are) residents in USA, supporting bush sr. in his presidential campaign... indeed, many of so-called jihadists seem to be founded and managed directly by us-secret services, so close is the connection.)
