good old terragen. with some stuff from photoshop. took about two-three days.made for a "7 reasons for 5 seasons" artpack at Wicked Landscapes , and the season this image depicts is, i guess, summer. rather hot summer as you might notice, when everything almost died out, but seems like a storm is coming to protect the life once again.
thanks for Light Drop for providing artpack terrain.

nice textures mate, and the lighting is really good.
But it looks like someone has dropped a lot of oil into the waters

oh yeah, lake had very high concentration of oil, and when most of water had evaporated, concentration got even higher

I've seen a lot of terragen renders in the UT community, but I've never seen one like this one. Those steep cliffs and plateus (spelling?) look very beautiful. A job well done!
