Description
I'm having typography at uni all week and after the past two a little underchallenging days, we finally got an assignment from our Dutch teacher today that let us unfold our creativity more than we were able to before. The assignment was simply to display love, in a medium of our choice, and so Marie and I went to my house to pick up my camera and some props. I took some photos of her (in my clothes), edited one in a rush (which led to the perfectionist in me redoing it completely tonight since I wasn't satisfied) and we went back to uni where I printed out my final photo and handed it in.
Whereas my teacher had thought my idea was too complex when I'd told him about it in the morning, he was actually surprised by the final outcome. Someone might have underestimated my will to actually execute what I plan on doing. (:
The negative aspect of it was that I naturally chose photography instead of trying out other things. The good thing about it was that the result as seen above made me very happy, for I was able to combine my own style with given aspects.
What I created in the end didn't really have a lot to do with typography, but it's something that helped me grow at least a little bit.
