The rain drizzled outside the cave as Megan the dragoness awoke. She yawned and stretched in the warm damp air, then looked around for her little James. He was gone. Megan frowned playfully, wondering where her little dragon had gone. She shrugged and set about getting breakfast ready, some meat gotten a night ago, proceeding to roast it carefully with her fiery breath. As she worked, she remembered how it was such a day as this a year ago, that she had found her little James in a most unexpected, yet wonderful way. She paused a moment from her cooking to look out the cave again, trying to figure where her little one had gone. She couldn't help but smile as his little dragon snout appeared over the hill, followed by a very soggy rest of him. He sloshed slowly into the cave, flopping down tiredly once in its dry shelter.

"Oh sweetie... you're all wet," Megan cooed as she approached him and nuzzled his snout softly. James nuzzled lovingly back.

"Sorry. I had to do something," he replied, looking down sheepishly.

"Oh... and what might that be?" Megan smiled playfully. Little James then reached under his wing and pulled out a small, now kinda flattened bunch of wet flowers, holding them out with a small, scaly hand.

"Happy Momma's Day, Momma," he said, blushing softly as he looked into her tender, green eyes. Purring softly, Megan scooped him up gently into her arms and hugged him, and his flowers, to her soft, scaled chest, rubbing her snout against his.

"Thank you, my beautiful little boy. They're very pretty." As James kissed her cheek, the smell of breakfast wafted across his nose, causing his little tummy to growl.

"Hungry," she teased. James nodded excitedly. She placed him carefully down and nudged him towards his waiting food, which he quickly proceeded to eat happily. Megan couldn't help but smile as she watched her little dragon eat. She couldn't imagine her life without her little James. After all they'd been through, not even death could part them. Suddenly she noticed he had stopped eating, and was staring curiously at her.

"Momma... don't you want any breakfast?" She grinned lovingly.

"Don't you worry, James. I'll have mine in a bit." James wrinkled his snout playfully at her then went back to eating. Finishing a few minutes later, he happily flopped down on his slightly bulged tummy, murring quietly from the breaskfast that filled him. Megan leans her head down and noses it, causing him to giggle at the tickly feeling.

"You full, little one?" James nodded happily, closing his eyes and snuggling his head under hers. Megan purred softly, enjoying her snuggle time with James when her tummy grumble softly, causing James to look up.

"Momma... are you hungry?" Leaning down and rubbing noses with him, she responds...

"Mm hmm." She then began to fawn his soft, scaly face gently with her silky tongue, it's warmth bathing him in saliva. James giggled knowingly, realizing now why she had waited. "You don't mind if I have a little snack, do you James?"

"No Momma. Not at all," James replied boyishly. With that, she carefully slipped his head within her maw, her steamy breath rolling gently over his saliva colored scales. James murred softly, nuzzling her wet tongue affectionately as she worked over his front set of shoulders, pinning his forelegs to his tummy, allowing her to grasp him in her gentle claws. As she pushed him in further, she gently tilted her head, allowing his head to slip within the dark, tight hug of her pulsing throat. She continued to feed him in, carefully not to hurt his wings or legs with her glistening, sharp teeth. Grinning softly to himself, James began to squirm gently, causing Megan to be caught of guard. She murred softly, enjoying the feeling within her. He continued to do so, allowing himself to slip deeper into her gullet as he did so. Megan, beside herself in bliss, gently gulps a final, gentle time, swallowing him completely inside, including the last of his cute, scaly tail. James, now slowing his squirming, continued to slide softly down her long, hugging esophagus, plopping wetly into her warm, safe tummy. He yawned cutely, curling up against her stomach wall in a cute dragon manner, nuzzling at his momma from inside. Megan, giggling lovingly, nuzzled back.

"I love you, my little James."

"Love you too, Momma." James cooed back, then yawns again. He rested his head on her tummy floor, growing drifty. Megan, purring softly, curled up as well, resting her head next to his form, imprinted slightly against her scaly underbelly. She could hear his breathing slow, becoming that of a sleeping young dragon, but she herself could not bring herself to sleep. Her mind was too full of thoughts, memories from a year ago. She could remember her little James, the first time they met, there, helpless on the cave floor, so adorable, so sad. She could remember the vikings that came, how they hurt him, how they hurt her, how he... he disappeared... after that, how a year ago they were reunited in the most wonderful, and unexpected way, and that he was hers for always from that moment on. With another gentle nuzzle, her eyes closed, finally drifting off, her dear James safe and warm within her. Not for anything would she ever part with him, and I'll guarantee you, he'd never part with his momma either.
